Pudder

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Pudder app ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Use of the App

Pudder is a personal golf tracking tool. You may use it to:

• Record golf rounds, shots, and scores for personal use
• Track club distances and calculate your handicap index
• Sync round data between your iPhone and Apple Watch
• Share round summaries and follow other golfers via the optional social feed

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Use the App for any commercial or unlawful purpose
• Attempt to extract or misuse golf course data sourced from OpenStreetMap
• Post content on the social feed that is abusive, misleading, or violates any applicable law
• Create social accounts on behalf of others without their consent

3. Your Data

By default, all data you enter — including your name, handicap, round history, and shot positions — is stored locally on your device. We have no access to this data. You are solely responsible for backing up your on-device data.

If you choose to create a social account, certain data (display name, handicap index, round summaries) is transmitted to and stored on Stream's servers as described in our Privacy Policy. This is optional and can be disabled at any time. Your GPS shot positions are never uploaded to any server regardless of your account status.

4. In-App Purchases

Pudder offers an optional, one-time tip jar purchase ("Support Pudder"). By making this purchase you agree to the following:

• The purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store and is subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions
• The purchase is non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's own refund policies
• The tip jar grants no additional features, premium content, or subscription entitlements — it is a voluntary contribution to support the developer
• Previously completed purchases can be restored via the standard Apple restore mechanism within the App

We do not receive or store any payment card information. All billing is managed by Apple.

5. Social Features

The optional social feed is powered by Stream (getstream.io). By creating a social account you agree to comply with Stream's Terms of Service in addition to these Terms. You are responsible for any content posted to your feed. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

Your social account and associated data can be deleted at any time from Profile → Social → Delete Account. Deletion removes your data from Stream's servers within 30 days.

6. Third-Party Services

Pudder integrates the following third-party services:

• Stream Feeds (getstream.io) — optional social feed. Subject to Stream's Terms of Service.
• OpenStreetMap Overpass API — golf course layout data, publicly available and licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). Use of course data is for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
• Apple MapKit — course search and map display, subject to Apple's Maps Terms of Service.

7. Accuracy of Golf Data

Pudder calculates distances and handicap estimates based on GPS data and algorithms approximating USGA/WHS methodology. These calculations are provided for personal guidance only and are not officially certified. Do not rely on Pudder for official competition scoring or handicap submission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that GPS accuracy will meet any particular standard. Your use of the App is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of data, GPS inaccuracies, or incorrect handicap calculations.

10. Intellectual Property

The Pudder name, logo, and app design are our intellectual property. The Pudder character logo may not be reproduced or used without written permission. OpenStreetMap data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under ODbL.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is based, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
